Salma Kossemtini is a young curator, interior designer and future art theorist. Her interest focuses on contemporary art, design and their socio-cultural impact. The young curator developed her interest by starting as the curators’ assistant of INTERFERENCE, the project of art of light in the medina of Tunis from these beginnings. Since then, she has continued to link these activities within the same project and SEE DJERBA as a young curator, responsible for 8 artists by accompanying them in their reflection process and artistic development of their works up to the production on selected sites.
Her experience has expanded internationally by taking part in two Biennials of Light Art: EVI LICHTUNGEN in Hildesheim and LICHTROUTEN in Lüdenscheid, both in Germany, where she assisted artists, took part in the mediation of the works by being on site and through guided tours. Salma has found in these biennials of Light and Contemporary Art, a ground for theoretical and practical exploration into artistic activities. This has allowed her to learn along the way and to include the mediation as an essential part of her work.
Salma is also taking actively part in Urban tours in the Medina of Tunis with Doolesha and Doora fel Houma.
