INTERFERENCE YOUNG MASTERS’ PROGRAM
The YOUNG MASTERS’ PROGRAM is part of the INTERFERENCE Series, a variety of projects of public discussions, artistic and cultural training, and exhibition projects in the Medina of Tunis. They are developed responding to the Corona pandemic 2020 and the impact on public life and collective being.

The YOUNG MASTERS’ PROGRAM for artists features emerging artists while studying or in their early stages of professional being. YOUNG MASTERS are invited to develop and to produce an artwork that will become part of an exhibition in public space. The program consists of individual coaching to realize an artistic idea and it includes production support. A series of workshops will accompany the phases of development, production, and documentation to support the emerging artists to realize art in public space projects and to foster key competencies like describing artistic interest, doing artwork documentation, and understanding the needs of organization and administration.
The YOUNG MASTERS’ PROGRAM for art mediators features students and young professionals that like to assist in artistic production as well as in the care for a site and for the audience. The program consists of a series of workshops to train for the communication with the audience, and for safety and security measures onsite. In close co-operation with the artists’ program, participants will be introduced to artistic praxis, context-conditioned approaches, and all the concepts of the artwork of the emerging artists.
Part of the YOUNG MASTERS’ PROGRAM are a small group of mentées from the TASAWAR Curatorial Studios. The YOUNG MASTERS’ PROGRAM features the co-operation between young artists, curators, and art mediators. Jointly they will prepare, host, and communicate a decentral exhibition project in public space in March 2021.
